END Diabetes and Heart Disease?! ( 4 Weeks)

If you’re anything like most of my patients, hearing the words “heart-healthy foods” or “diabetes-friendly diet” might just be your worst nightmare.

And who could blame you?

No one wants to sit down to a plate of rabbit food for every meal… every day… for the rest of your life.

Now you don’t have to.

Because Tufts University researchers have just discovered that one delicious food can help you END diabetes and heart disease — even if you’re overweight.

Even better? You could see REAL results in just four weeks.

Pecans have been the key ingredient in so many delicious treats.

From Thanksgiving pies to pancake toppings, these nuts make even the best treats better.

But there’s more to this humble nut’s story…

For the research, scientists from the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University gave 26 overweight or obese participants two different diets, which they followed for four weeks each.

One diet consisted of 15 percent pecans. And the other one didn’t have any pecans.

At the end of the trial, the participants experienced improved insulin sensitivity, metabolism, and beta cell functions – all key factors in preventing diabetes and heart disease – when on the pecan diet!

And here’s the best part… they saw these incredible results by eating just 1.5 ounces of pecans – the equivalent of a small handful – daily.

In other words, having a daily snack of pecans can help you stay healthy well into your golden years.

Experts report that pecans are so good for your blood sugar and metabolism because they contain antioxidants that help reduce the specific type of inflammation that causes heart disease and diabetes.

Pecans are available at your local grocery store.

Or, if you live in the south, pecans are harvested from early September through November.  And typically available at your favorite roadside produce stand.
