Discovered: The BEST Food for Fighting Diabetes?!

When we think of foods that fight diabetes, things like lean meats, nuts, and vegetables come to mind.

And with good reason. These foods are packed with hunger-fighting protein and blood sugar-lowering vitamins and minerals.

But according to new research, these foods aren’t the only ones that can help you beat back blood sugar.

In fact, there’s one surprising food that can help SINK your diabetes risk by 18 percent.

And it just may be the BEST food for fighting diabetes.

I’m talking about yogurt

Now, you may find this surprising. Most doctors recommend that diabetics reduce their dairy intake because it can be high in sugar.

But it looks like yogurt is the one dairy food you need if you want to stay diabetes-free.

For the new study, Harvard researchers analyzed the health data and diets of more than 100,000 folks from three different long-running studies — the Nurses’ Health Study, the Nurses’ Health Study II, and the Health Professionals Follow-up Stud — looking for a link between yogurt intake and diabetes outcomes.

And what they found was amazing…

Folks who ate a daily 28-gram serving of yogurt were 18 percent less likely to develop type 2 diabetes.

Even better? These results remained intact even for folks who ate a poor diet or were overweight!

This means eating more yogurt can help you fight diabetes regardless of weight or diet!

Experts report that yogurt helps lower your risk of diabetes because it contains probiotics, the type of bacteria that can help reduce blood sugar issues and inflammation.

A 28-gram serving of yogurt is equivalent to two heaping spoonfuls.

Not all yogurts are good for you. Be sure to eat plain, grass-fed varieties. These don’t have any added sweeteners or flavors that may impact your blood sugar.
