Popular Sugar Substitute CAUSING Cancer?!
When it comes to sweets, the mainstream gets it wrong every time.
They’ll tell you to ditch the natural stuff completely – like maple syrup, molasses, and brown sugar – and go for the sugar-free artificial sweeteners.
But there’s a big problem with this advice…
According to a new study, one of these fake sugars could put you on the fast track to developing cancer.
Here’s everything you need to know to keep you and your family safe.
Sucralose is a popular chemical sweetener used on its own or as an ingredient in several sugar-free foods.
It’s 600 times sweeter than table sugar; most folks know it by its brand name, Splenda. (Yeah, that Splenda. The little yellow packets on every restaurant table.)
And while the FDA approved its use in 1999, more and more research shows that this sweetener is doing more harm than good.
In the new study, researchers from North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill exposed human blood cells to sucralose-6-acetate, a chemical found in sucralose.
And what they discovered was unbelievable…
The researchers determined that this popular artificial sweetener is “genotoxic,” meaning it damages the genetic material in your cells and can cause disease.
Further experimentation showed that sucralose could damage your gut lining and increase the specific type of genetic activity that causes inflammation and cancer!
YUCK!
This means you could be using a sweetener to avoid diabetes or weight gain… just to have it destroy your gut and give you cancer!
I say NO MORE with the mainstream’s franken-sugars.
Instead, it’s better to focus on natural sweeteners – like molasses, a good source of iron, selenium, and copper – that is fine in moderation and have their own health benefits, too.
Or switch to a natural low-sugar sweetener like monk fruit. You can find pure monk fruit extract at your local grocery store.
