Couch “Hack” STOPS Alzheimer’s (30 Minutes or Less)

When it comes to fighting Alzheimer’s, the mainstream focuses on just one thing: beta-amyloid plaques.

There is a good reason for this. These misfolded proteins are thought to be the root cause of the disease.

But that’s just one piece of the Alzheimer’s puzzle.

You see, there’s another factor that helps determine who gets Alzheimer’s… and who doesn’t: brain shrinkage.

Luckily, new research shows there’s a daily couch “hack” that can STOP brain shrinkage in its tracks.

You just have to be sure to do it for less than 30 minutes.

Few things bring me pleasure like a mid-afternoon snooze on the couch.

Now, it looks like a daily nap could be the key to keeping your brain young, full, and healthy.

For the new study, researchers from the University College London in England analyzed the health data and sleeping patterns of more than 35,000 participants, looking for a link between nap length and frequency, genetic markers, and brain health outcomes.

At the end, the results showed that folks who are genetically predisposed to daytime napping have larger brain volumes, equivalent to 2.6 to 5.6 fewer years of brain aging.

This means that a daily snooze can SHAVE years off your brain age… and help keep your brain healthy and plump!

Researchers from the study report that napping may help stop brain shrinkage because it helps slow the neurodegeneration caused by poor nighttime sleep.

Other studies show that napping for 30 minutes or less benefits your brain and overall health. (I told you all about how 20-minute naps can sink your blood pressure a few months ago.)

So, if you’re not taking a daily snooze… NOW is the time to start.

Just grab your favorite blanket and cozy up on the couch for a short shuteye and start seeing the health benefits stack up!
