“Pink” Sweetener CAUSING Cancer?!
The mainstream has been endorsing – and defending – artificial sweeteners for decades.
They will tell you these chemicals are perfectly safe and taste great, too.
Now, if you’ve ever tried one of these, you already know they are lying about the taste.
And according to a potential ruling from the World Health Organization (WHO), conventional medicine is lying about the safety of at least one artificial sweetener, too.
They are preparing to declare the “pink” sweetener a possible carcinogen.
Here’s everything you need to know to keep you and your family safe.
Aspartame – the pink packet — is a chemical sweetener 200 times sweeter than table sugar and low in calories.
The FDA approved this fake sugar for consumer use back in 1974 as an alternative for folks with diabetes and weight issues.
But in the years since, it’s caused nothing but problems.
Research shows this “healthy” alternative can lead to weight gain, heart disease, stroke, and even type 2 diabetes – the exact diseases it’s supposed to prevent.
And then there’s cancer…
According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the cancer research branch of the WHO, they are set to add aspartame to their list of “possibly carcinogenic to humans” list for the very first time.
The agency has reviewed more than 1,300 studies on the sweetener and cancer. It’s set to release a decision on July 14th.
And they’ve got plenty of research to look at.
In fact, just last year, one study of more than 100,000 adults showed that folks with higher artificial sweetener intake are more likely to develop cancer.
But here’s my biggest issue… this stuff has been on the market for nearly 50 YEARS!
How is it that we are just now getting an official ruling that it’s dangerous?!
I’ll tell you how… conventional medicine and Big Food love to scratch each other’s backs.
It can’t be a coincidence that just about every doctor in this country tells you that diet soda and sugar-free candies are the safest ways to drop some pounds and stop diabetes, right?
I’m glad that even mainstream groups like the WHO are finally noticing that these fake sugars aren’t as safe as they’ve been portrayed.
But for me, it all feels too little, too late.
If you’re currently using aspartame products – like diet soda and sugar-free treats – you don’t need to wait for the IARC’s ruling. It’s time to move on.
Make the switch to unsweetened beverages like iced herbal teas. And satisfy your sweet tooth with a couple of squares of dark chocolate.
These healthy swaps could help keep dangerous artificial sweeteners out of your diet.
